2035, French society has undergone major changes. The government, now known as the OPC (Order, Perpetuity, Conformity), collaborates with the agri-food industry. Through their products, the government controls the population by stripping them of all emotional capacities, such as empathy. Only a tiny fraction of the population, known as the “Empaths,” has not yet fallen under the government’s chemical control. Led by a man with a red scarf, a group of resistance fighters attempts to awaken an industrial executive from her apathetic stupor in order to overthrow the OPC.
